Suggested Aftermarket Intake?

I wouldn't let the comp guys pick your cam, from what i've seen from them, they are clueless. A couple guys on my explorer message board called them for custom cams for their explorers (gt40p engines) and they suggested these monster cams, all with well over .550 lift, and rated to goto 6500rpm. Not even close to what a sane person would use in a 5000lb suv, with no real mods.

...and then there's Bill Glidden, Billy Glidden, Hot Rod mag, Car Craft, etc. etc.

and my opinion...

I have had good personal experience with CompCams. They've been in business for over 30 years, and have a well deserved, respected, and trusted reputation. That's why I chose them for past engine build cams, and why I will continue to use them in the future. That is why I recommended them.

Good luck in whatever choice you make, 1low5oh. Keep us updated, and post up some pics of that vert!:)
